I am concerned that the current approach to helping the homeless is from the top-down, which is:

I intend to serve the homeless community with a ground-floor approach, not only with regard to grass-roots funding, but with regard to asking my clients what is meaningful for them, as opposed to the current approach which is what is beneficial for the municipality. In other words, to empower people!

From a logistics standpoint, I need funding to build/purchase a mobile shower unit, clothing, blankets, barber equipment, etc. I want to get each person from 0 to 1 so they can be referred to other providers, who will provide mental health counseling, substance abuse counseling, moving toward permanent housing/shelter, etc.

Will you please help me get this off the ground? I am currently focusing on the Bay Area, with plans to operate on the West Coast, and ultimately nationwide. Thank you.
