Make it Happen Foundation-Repairs for Jacksonville's Elderly

The Make it Happen Foundation goal is to make every senior citizen's house feel like a home. This foundation was started when we received a call to a women's home on the northside of Jacksonville. The home is in grave repair. It was literally "falling apart at the seams" . After reaching out to local resources for her we discovered that there weren't enough and most not readily available for her to access. We decided let's not just call on others but to see how we could "make it happen". We realized her home would just be the start; in our neighborhoods there are many that lack the finances to repair their homes that they have worked so hard to own. We want to make it happen for them-this may include installing a new a/c system, sealing windows and doors, fixing dilapidated flooring or caved ceilings and repairing the framework, etc. We want the senior citizens in our community to have their living structure feel more like a home and less like a hazard.

This foundation's purpose is to raise funds to pay for these much-needed repair services. The Make It Happen Foundation will partner with volunteer contractors to perform these services. All materials for services will be paid for by the Make it Happen Foundation. Services will be offered to residents in Jacksonville, Florida and its surrounding areas.
