Disclaimer: Should a strike not occur, or funds remain after distribution to
members in need, excess funds will be reserved for future member hardship
needs.
Healthcare workers represented by the Hawaii Nurses and Healthcare Professionals
(HNHP) are standing together for safe staffing, fair wages, and quality patient care. As part
of the 62,000-member Alliance of Healthcare Unions, HNHP members are joining tens of
thousands of healthcare professionals across the country who are taking a stand to protect our
care system from corporate short-sightedness.
When healthcare workers strike, it’s never an easy decision. But when employers like Kaiser
Permanente refuse to invest in the caregivers who make the system run, standing up becomes the
only way forward. A strike means sacrificing paychecks to demand a fair contract—and that’s
where our community can help.
The HNHP Hardship Fund supports members who face financial challenges during a strike,
ensuring no one is left behind as we fight for a better future for Hawaii’s patients and healthcare
professionals. The fund is managed directly by union members, with full transparency, and every
dollar raised goes to those most in need—helping families keep food on the table, pay rent, and
stay secure while on the picket line.
By contributing to this fund, you’re not just helping workers—you’re standing up for safe
hospitals, ethical care, and a stronger healthcare system for all of Hawaii.
Please donate what you can and share this page.
Together, we can make sure every healthcare worker who cares for Hawaii’s people has the
support they need—both in the hospital and on the picket line.
Note:
While we are grateful for community support and that of our brothers and sisters in
labor, we will not accept any financial support from employers, employer-side labor
relations experts, advisers, or consultants, nor will we accept any contributions from
anyone who is an agent of an employer or who is acting in the interest of an employer.

Contributions from such individuals should not be made through this platform and will
not be accepted if they are. For any questions concerning the source of contributions,
please contact the sponsor of this page.
