The African American Historical Association of Western Maryland invites your contributions to support work at the historic Red Hill Cemetery near Keedysville, MD. The cemetery is located at the site of the former Pleasant Hill AME Church and dates to the 1840s. A number of soldiers from the USCT (United States Colored Troops) are interred in the grounds.
Your contributions will support these projects:
1. Ground-penetrating radar to locate gravesites
2. Replacement of damaged or missing gravestones
3. New signage at the cemetery
4. Other services to support the maintenance of the cemetery
We are fundraising to preserve and maintain the historic Red Hill Cemetery.
