Support Highjinx Ottawa’s Community Support Work

Hi, My name is Marie-Lynne. I’ve lived in Ottawa for 26 years. For many of those years I lived in Centretown. I have been really distraught to see how the 'trucker convoy' has impacted the residents of Ottawa over the last weeks. 
 
I have set up this gofundme to help residents in our community. All funds will directly benefit Highjinx’s charitable and community support activities. At the moment they are right in the heart of the siege/occupation of downtown Ottawa and they are continuing to support and help those vulnerable people in our community who are most impacted. Now more than ever their work is needed and important!
 

Highjinx has combined their love of vintage and their community into one. They sell vintage items from their shop in downtown Ottawa (290 Kent st.) and use the proceeds to support the most vulnerable individuals in our community. They have a food bank/pantry in their shop, they drive people to medical appointments, help pay hydro bills, provide furniture, blankets, appliances, furniture, sleeping bags, winter coats, hats, mittens, tents and much more.

 

I will personally be matching all donations made, up to $500. I hope as a community we can raise much more!
