Join Us: Empowering Young Athletes—Mental Health Matters
My name is Christion Nesbitt, founder of Village of Privilege, and I’m reaching out with a mission that’s close to my heart.
On March 14th-15th, 2026, we’re hosting a special mental health retreat at Broken Bow Cabin, Oklahoma, for 24 high school athletes. This event is inspired by the life and legacy of Marshawn Kneeland, whose recent passing reminds us all of the struggles even the strongest among us can face.
Our goal? To empower these young men and women with knowledge, support, and lifelong tools to care for themselves and each other. We believe—now more than ever—that “Your mind is the strongest muscle in your body.” Together, we can show these athletes what real strength looks like.
I invite you to join our village, to stand with us, and to help make this vital weekend possible. Every contribution matters—from donations, to sponsorships, to even sharing a word of encouragement. We carry Marshawn’s spirit with us, guided by the thought: “Am I my brother’s/sister’s keeper?”
Let’s make a real difference. If you’d like to support, be involved, or simply want to learn more, I’d love to connect.
Thank you so much for your time and heart—our future champions need us.
With gratitude,
Christion Nesbitt
