Support Hernandez Family: Preserve Grandma's Legacy
I am Antionette Hernandez, the oldest granddaughter of Kathleen Hernandez. Within the last year my grandmother had heart failure and past away on 06/14/2025.
During her life my grandmother along with her husband and father built an optical. Throughout the years she gave children and elderly sight. She gave charitable donations to st jude, cancer patients, veterans, homeless, to anyone that asked. She had a big heart, she allowed everyone to call her grandma. Even if you were a stranger. She would give, and give, and never asked for anything back.
In December 2024, my grandmother got the covid vaccine booster. Ever since then she had flutters, then she just kept getting sicker and sicker. She had less energy, breathing became harder. In march her doctors found she had an inflammed heart, which turned into heart failure. In this month, June, she had liver failure and kidney failure.
Ever since she got sick, my family has been having a hard time. Now we need help too. My family still has the optical and it is working out well. However, we may lose our family home. And the family home is the symbol of my grandmothers success. Not in business, but in family. Because to her family was the most important thing to her. 4 generations have lived in that house, all at the same time. It was something she would brag about a lot. She got to see her dad grow old, her son's grow up, and her granddaughters grow up in that house.
As her granddaughter, one of her many of pieces of pride and joy, I want to ask for help. Help from the community and family to donate to our family cause. To keep our family home.
The proceeds from this fundraiser will go to my grandmothers funeral expenses, medical expenses, and paying off her house.
