On July 8th, 2026, D was brutally assaulted and stabbed seven times by her fiancée in her apartment building.

D is only 21 years old. In March 2026, she had just moved to Philadelphia and was excited to begin a new life with her fiancée. Unfortunately, things took a turn when her fiancée began abusing her. D suffered for months in silence, isolating herself, and hiding her bruises and black eyes. She was financially dependent on her fiancée at the time, and had no where else to turn. Things took a turn for the worse on July 8, 2026, when her fiancée grabbed a knife from the kitchen, stabbed her seven times, kicked her, and held her down to stop her from leaving. Thankfully a neighbor called for help and D was able to escape. D received 25 stitches, had a concussion and a fractured nose. She was in the hospital for 3 days After receiving medical treatment, she is now residing in a domestic violence shelter.

D hopes to use these funds to get back on her feet and start over. D aspires to be a makeup artist one day and help other survivors of domestic violence.
