Support Hendricks' Life-Saving Surgery

Unfortunately, one of GRIT's beloved herd is experiencing a medical emergency. Hendricks, who is one of our original herd, was exhibiting respiratory distress this evening (10/12/24). Our supporters quickly came together while I (Kat) was out of the state to provide him with emergency care. Unfortunately, this situation cannot be handled locally. Hendricks likely needs an emergency tracheotomy and surgery to save his airway. Some of our wonderful staff and volunteers are hauling him to Texas A&M as we speak. Hendricks has been an integral part of GRIT from the beginning, building bonds with clients through his snuggles and his expertise in Western Dressage and ground work.
