Support Helen Haburt Following Green Acres Townhome Fire

Donation protected
On January 31, 2026, there was an explosion due to a gas leak at Green Acres in Hermantown, MN, which is currently under investigation.

Unfortunately, our Mom, Helen Haburt (78yrs), lost her home and everything she owns. She lost so many memories in the fire that can't be replaced. It will be difficult starting over but she is not alone, we will do this together.

She has renter's insurance; however, it is not enough to replace or replenish her household needs. She lost her car in the fire. It will take some time for insurance to process to purchase another car. In the meantime, she will pay out of pocket for a rental as she does not have rental on her policy. She also lost all of her medications. As expected, insurance is being difficult. The cost to replace most of her meds at this point is out of pocket. We are hoping the community is willing to help our Mom to get back on her feet.

We would greatly appreciate your donation for Helen Haburt as we navigate next steps and work through this difficult situation. Thank you so much for your support.

Please keep our Mom and her neighbors at Green Acres in your prayers, especially those who are grieving the loss of their loved ones.

Gift cards and monetary donations are welcomed for Helen Haburt Mon-Fri, 9am-4pm at Peace in Christ Church - 5007 Maple Grove Rd Hermantown, MN 55811 (Super One, Walmart, Target and Kohls etc.)
