Support Heavy Healing: Heavy Music's Power to Heal

Donation protected
Hi all.

Some of you may already be aware that Seth Abrams, Jammi York, and I have begun work on what we believe to be an exciting and crucial documentary project called HEAVY HEALING. The film takes a look at musicians, music fans, and industry types who have, and continue to rely on heavy, aggressive music such as Heavy Metal, Hardcore Punk, and underground Hip-Hop to cope with and recover from anything and everything including, but not limited to, cancer, strokes, cerebral palsy, HIV/AIDS, diabetes, heart attacks, childhood abuse, blood and auto-immune diseases, and mental health challenges. This music, which has a terrible reputation, has the unique power and ability to motivate, inspire, and heal.

We have conducted interviews with:
Jaret Reddick (Bowling for Soup)
Lou Koller (Sick of It All)
Mike Williams (EyeHateGod)
Jesse Leach (Killswitch Engage)
Jesse Malin (D Generation, Heart Attack)
Eddie “Sutton” Pomponio (Leeway)
Brian “Mitts” Daniels (ex-Madball, Skarhead)
Jimi Hazel (24-7 Spyz)
Michael “Kaves” McLeer (Lordz of Brooklyn)
Vinnie Stigma (Agnostic Front)
James “Jimmy G.” Drescher (Murphy’s Law)
Adam Blake (H2O)
Michael Alago (A&R - Metallica, White Zombie...)
Kenny Gabor (Unchained Management)
Steve Off (Pro Wrestling Magic)
Bill Wilson (Blackout Records)
Cat Marino (Destroy Myself Canceled)
Kyle Laurel
Seth Abrams
Alexa Poli-Scheigert
Lucas Newman
Nirav Soni PhD

Each interviewee speaks candidly and vividly, sharing their unique experience in overcoming obstacles while leaning on genres of music which have often been frowned upon at best, while otherwise denounced and even condemned.

We are raising funds to help us cover items such as legal expenses, music licensing, color correction, audio mastering, as well as film festival entry fees.

Every little bit will help us to complete this film which we think will shine a light on an extremely special music community and especially its vibrant artists. We are looking to complete work by fall/winter 2025 and debuting in early 2026.

ALL SUPPORTERS WILL BE SENT AN ADVANCE LINK TO VIEW THE FINISHED FILM BEFORE THE PUBLIC GETS TO SEE IT!

Thank you in advance!
Howie, Seth, and Jammi
