Please help us be parents.
My husband Patrick and I have been through an emotional journey trying to become parents. We have been married for 3 years. In the first year and a half of our marriage we unfortunately suffered 3 miscarriages. We were so excited every time we received a positive pregnancy test only to be devastated by the news that the pregnancy had ended. After the third miscarriage we had genetic testing done. Turns out I, Heather, have a rare genetic condition called Turner's with mosaicism. This means that the sex cells in my body are a combination of single x, the traditional xx, and three x. This makes miscarriage far more common and makes successful pregnancies have a higher risk for complications and birth defects. In order to ensure a happy and healthy baby our best course of action is IVF.
We have done one round of egg retrieval which did not produce any embryos. Unfortunately, this process is very expensive and we have exhausted the insurance benefit provided to us through our employers.
We have so much love to share and would be the best parents. I have dreamt of being a mom for as long as I can remember and my husband, Patrick will be such a wonderful father. Please help us make this dream come true!
Thank you for reading.
