I am actively fundraising for the Healing Homes Farm Project in partnership with Second Chance Battalion and the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) Criminal Justice Program. This is an initiative designed to provide safe housing and supportive services for justice-impacted women returning from incarceration. The project will transform a rural 10-acre property into a healing-centered environment where women can access stable housing, trauma-informed support, gardening/farm animals for food security, and opportunities to participate in agricultural and community-based programming that promotes self-sufficiency and wellness. Through grant writing, community partnerships, and grassroots fundraising, I am working to secure the resources needed to develop this space so that women leaving prison have a dignified place to rebuild their lives and reconnect with their communities.
