At Haven on Earth, our mission is to break the cycle of poverty by providing safe, affordable, and empowering housing solutions for adults in need. We are a registered nonprofit, proudly Black woman-owned, and we’re launching our first initiative—a structured Independent Living Program in Alexandria, VA.

Our Story & Purpose

Every day, countless adults face the harsh realities of homelessness, unstable living conditions, and the lasting impact of challenges like foster care and domestic violence. We believe that every person deserves a chance to rebuild, grow, and thrive in an environment that nurtures their potential. That’s why Haven on Earth was created—to be more than just a shelter, but a pathway to long-term stability and independence.

What We’re Building

• Independent Living Program for Adults:

Our first step is to open an Independent Living Home where adults can transition from the uncertainty of shelters to a stable home environment. Our program is designed to provide not only a roof over their heads but also essential support to help them secure employment, gain critical life skills, and build confidence for the future.

Our Future Vision

While our initial focus is on providing a safe space for adults in need—especially those transitioning from foster care, homelessness, or escaping domestic violence—we have big plans. Our long-term vision includes:

• Establishing a stable group home that integrates housing with comprehensive supportive services.

• Expanding our programs to serve women and children.

• Creating a resource center, The Haven Hub

• Offering extensive mental health support, domestic violence recovery services, and assistance for the elderly.
