Support Harmony's Cheerleading Dream
My name is Dameon Wilson, and my pride is screaming so loud, it's deafening. This is my daughter Harmony, 8, and a brand new cheerleader. This has been her dream, and she has been asking for years for her entire family to make it a reality. I work across the street from the gym she attends, saw the place, and had to make it happen. I knew it would be costly, but with the support of a few family members and her mother, I thought for certain we could make it happen. Her coach took her in despite it being 5 months late in the season. We have paid for her evaluation, her tuition for the month, half a month's tuition at the end of last month, and now, we are facing the uniform payment of $500 plus tuition around the corner. Most of us are falling short on the jerseys we, as her supporters, would've purchased had we possessed the funds. We only need half for now, and it wouldn't be so steep, but the last payment for the uniforms is due tomorrow for those who have been with the team all season. (*This is of no fault or discrepancy from the team or coaches at the gym she is enrolled with. They are amazing people, and no one can prepare for natural disasters.*)
Regardless, I have never seen my little girl so happy in my life, and I CAN NOT let her down. We are doing everything we can, but with Memorial Day, followed closely behind by Hurricane Francine, not only are our resources limited, but so were our hours. Lower hours = lower pay, but bills and the cost of living only increase. I am ashamed to ask anyone for anything, and if you give me time, I will pay every one of you back EVERY SINGLE CENT. Again, this is not for me, and I will respond to each and every one of you with a screenshot image proving where your funds are going. Any help is appreciated, $1, $20, $100. I don't care how much is sent, every penny will go to her uniform, tuition, and cheerleading in general fund.
I know to most this is no emergency, but my back is against the wall, and this amazing little girl deserves the opportunity to pursue her dream. I swear to God she's a natural, she is so determined, and so excited, and I will do anything on Earth not to take that away from her...
My rant is over. Have your fun and laugh, or help me keep my little girl, who has already lost so much, a cheerleader for a while longer, please.
Thank you to everyone who contributes. To those who don't, I understand, times are tough.
Hope to hear from y'all soon.
*EDIT* Donations take over a week to transfer and it almost caused us to make it late. The donations fron Cash App allowed us to put $300 down. We have met our goal, but every penny added would be amazing. I'll pay months in advance and make sure she's set. $Grimlogick
