I am aiming to raise $2,500 in honor and celebration of 25 years of community impact oh HansonHouse Traumatic Brain Injury Clubhouse. After the passing of both my Grandmother (Joann Boggs) and Grandfather (Jerry Boggs) in recent years it is important to me to honor their legacy and work by doing what I can to keep HansonHouse running for all those that it serves.
HansonHouse is near and dear to my heart as my late Grandfather suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury years ago after being hit on a bike bath. After a long process, he was given a miracle and made a full recovery and lived a long healthy life, but that is not the same for everyone.
HansonHouse is the first program in Ohio based upon the true Clubhouse model of community re-entry for people with traumatic brain injury. Serving people in Northern Ohio, with some kind of service, while intensively engaging a smaller group with weekly services in the Berea area.
What services does Hanson House provide?
Recovery/relearning routines and habits of effective living.
Assistance by peers and community volunteers that foster independent living.Match marketable skills to employment opportunities or match skills to volunteering opportunities that benefit the community.
