Update: We Had to Sell the House

First, thank you so much to everyone who has donated, shared, or supported us along the way. Your kindness and compassion have meant the world during an incredibly difficult time.

Unfortunately, despite every effort, we weren’t able to raise enough in time to save the home. The $65,000 goal was always a lofty one, and with the foreclosure date approaching the decision to accept a very low offer — just to keep some control over the situation and avoid the bank stepping in.

While we’re no longer able to keep the home, we are still fundraising for moving expenses, storage, and the cost of getting Hannah and the kids settled into a new place. That support is still very much needed as we start over.

If you’ve already donated and would prefer a refund given this update, please feel free to reach out directly to Hannah.

I’m reaching out on behalf of my daughter Hannah and her three children, who are in danger of losing their home.

This is something no father ever wants to do, but we’re out of time and out of options. My daughter has worked tirelessly to keep her home after going through a very difficult divorce that left her financially stretched thin. Between losing access to joint funds and trying to care for her kids, she fell behind on the mortgage.

Now, the home where she’s raised her three children — the place filled with memories, love, and stability — is in foreclosure and December 30th, 2025. To stop the auction and keep the home, she needs $65,000 to cover the mortgage arrears and buy out her ex-husband’s share.

She’s doing everything she possibly can to protect the asset and save the home. It’s even been listed for sale below market value in hopes of avoiding foreclosure and preventing the auction from happening — but she’s fighting hard to find a way to keep it for her kids.

If she loses it, she and the children will be forced into the current rental market, where housing costs are almost double what her mortgage payment is. This house isn’t just a piece of property — it’s their safe place, their stability, and one of the few things they have left after all they’ve been through.

As her father, it’s been incredibly hard to watch her struggle despite doing everything right — working hard, cutting costs, and exploring every option. She needs help to bridge the gap and keep her family secure.
