Support Hannah and Aria's Tiny Home Dream

Donation protected
Hello Friends and Family,

We are embarking on an exciting project to build a tiny home for Aria and me! We are so excited for this new chapter and are reaching out for your support in making this vision possible. Right now we are raising funds for the framing, siding, windows, door and the roof of our tiny home. Please consider giving generously to help us reach our goal!

Words of support from our community:
Dear community,
Hannah and Aria are two beloved members of our Powderhorn community. You may know them from kid drag shows in the park (curated and emceed by Aria), Jewish community rituals at Hidden Falls, Palestinian solidarity events, MPLS Parks and Rec naturalists kid play groups, and lakeside hangs at Nokomis. These two gems SHOW UP for their friends, family, neighborhood, and beyond. These last few years have been hard on them both as Hannah has navigated health issues related to a Lyme disease diagnosis and several unexpected and stressful moves as a result of related mold sensitivity. Please join me in helping them realize their dream of a stable, mold-free home. All proceeds raised will go towards building a tiny home to be put on their dear friends' property in South Minneapolis.

More information on the project:
I hired David and Leona Picknell of Picknell’s Tiny Homes as builders. They have started creating the structure, which will be sited initially in South Minneapolis near Sibley Park, on the land of dear friends with whom we will be living cooperatively. The great news is that the house will be mobile and could be moved to another site if we decide.

This plan evolved because I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease two and a half years ago. Lyme Disease often leads to sensitivity to mold and chemicals, and that sensitivity has been a constant struggle in the older South Minneapolis rental properties that I have been renting for Aria and me. The exposure leads to painful joints, brain fog, fatigue, short-term memory loss, and more.

I have consulted with others who suffer from these health issues and it has become clear, from my research, that moving into a new-build home is the solution. Owning the home will also give us the stability and equity that comes with home ownership.

We are raising funds for the interior of our tiny home at this point. We estimate $28,000 for the completion of the house. Please consider giving generously to help us reach our goal!

If you want to contribute a larger donation to our Tiny Home construction and skip the fees from this site you can venmo @Hannah-Knazan-Lippman or reach out to me directly for other options. Thank you so much for your support in helping us build a stable home!

With so much love and hope for the future,
Hannah & Aria
