Keeping Up With Kate: Supporting Hands to Hearts

Donation protected
Katherine was diagnosed with a form of Hydrocephalus when she was 12 years old. This has led to over 25+ brain surgeries (we have honestly lost count). In the last 1.5 years, Katherine has spent over 5 months in the hospital, has coded twice, is on her 3rd intubation, and has had 12 neurosurgeries. On Friday, Kate had a radical craniotomy, in hopes to create more room and alleviate pressure. On Saturday, Kate started to decline rapidly and had to be intubated. Scans show she has bruising, swelling and shifting of the brain. Katherine is under the best care and we know her strength and fighting spirit will get her through.

Katherine has never let brain surgery stop her from achieving her dreams. Kate is an ICU nurse, has a passion for helping others, and founded Hands to Hearts in 2018. By the age of 30, Kate built a community center in Constitution, Mexico. Through Hands to Hearts, Kate helps build first-response systems, and offers life support courses, in developing areas across rural Mexico. This is her passion and drive in life!

Katherine has not been able to work or teach classes for Hands to Hearts, for over a year and a half. This leaves Hands to Hearts in need of your help! Kate has dedicated her life to helping others in life-threatening situations and now needs your support as she overcomes her own. This fundraiser is to keep Hands to Hearts operating until their amazing leader can return. Thanks to the generosity of two amazing supporters, all donations to Hands to Heart, up to $10,000, will be matched!

Thank you for your prayers, love and support!
