Half Table Man is a non-profit that assists people in disaster areas, by distributing food, clothing and other essential items.

About a month ago our primary means of food distribution and delivery, our truck, broke down so the repairs for this were substantial. We managed to get our hands on a new truck, but the costs of the repairs of the old truck plus the cost of the new truck were great, including thousands of dollars in insurance costs. As a non profit, we are working on a shoestring budget of donations and prayers. Insurance alone for the new vehicle is over 7 thousand dollars.

Half Table Man has been absolutely indispensable in giving food aid to 100s of Amazon workers at JFK8, and LDJ5 in Staten Island, and it is through this important relationship that this fundraiser has come to exist. Many Amazon employees face food insecurities and the Amazon Labor Union's bi monthly grocery pop ups have become an integral part of helping supplement the needs of the workers at these warehouses. Your donations not only help this vital organization serve the greater Staten Island community as a whole, it also serves to Aid the Amazon Labor Union, the first nationally recognized union in United States history to build community and solidarity with the workers at JFK8 through mutual aid.

With your help, we hope to raise the funds to cover the cost of maintaining two trucks, so Half Table Man can better provide food and supplies to those communities in Staten Island and Brooklyn that most need them. Thank you and god bless!
