Help Support Haley, Ben, and Their Miracle Twins, Lainey and Liam

We are reaching out with heavy hearts but hopeful spirits to ask for your support for two incredibly strong, loving new parents, Haley and Ben, and their beautiful miracle twins, Lainey and Liam.

On May 3rd, 2025, Haley gave birth to their twins at just 25 weeks gestation. Lainey weighed only 2 pounds .3 ounces, and Liam was even smaller at 1 pound 12 ounces. Born far too early, both babies were immediately rushed to the NICU, beginning a journey no parent ever dreams of facing.

Haley, a therapist at The Landing at Cedar Ridge, is known for her compassion, strength, and dedication to the mental health and healing of others. Now, she and Ben are being tested in the most personal and profound way, becoming first-time parents to premature twins with significant medical needs.

Haley endured an emergency C-section, followed by serious health complications including an infection and the painful, exhausting use of a wound vac. While she has thankfully healed, her life is now filled with the immense responsibilities of caring for her children’s complex medical needs. Despite everything, she has returned to work part-time, balancing a mini caseload while managing frequent hospital visits, specialist appointments, and preparing their home for the twins' future medical care.

Ben, a hard-working and devoted partner, returned to work around a month after the twins' birth, shouldering the financial weight so Haley could focus on healing and the babies' critical care. He’s doing everything he can to provide for their family, often exhausted but never wavering in his love or commitment.

Lainey and Liam have shown a strength and spirit that belies their tiny size. Both have been diagnosed with BPD (Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia), a serious lung condition caused by their extreme prematurity.

Liam will be coming home soon on oxygen, requiring constant monitoring and frequent follow-ups due to airway complications.

Lainey faces a more difficult road. She will undergo surgery to receive a tracheostomy and a gastrostomy tube (G-tube). Her throat has significant scarring that makes it hard for her to breathe or eat independently. She will come home with complex medical equipment, home health support, and the need for 24/7 monitoring. Her homecoming date is still uncertain.

The emotional, physical, and financial toll on Haley and Ben is enormous. Between hospital stays, medical equipment, travel costs, and everyday bills, their resources are stretched to the breaking point. This GoFundMe is to help ease the burdens they shouldn’t have to bear alone so they can focus on loving and caring for Lainey and Liam.
