I’m sharing the story of a family who have endured more heartbreak than most people could imagine, yet continue to fight every day for their children.

Right now, they are facing another difficult challenge as their daughter, Gwendoline-Ruth, urgently requires ongoing medical care and surgery for an adenotonsillectomy. Unfortunately, the public waiting list is already well over a year long, leaving the family with difficult decisions and mounting financial pressure.

What makes this situation even more heartbreaking is everything they have already been through.

Just three weeks ago, this family experienced the devastating loss of their baby. As they continue to navigate unimaginable grief, they are also carrying the emotional and financial burden of laying their child to rest and bringing them home.

This comes after Gwendoline-Ruth’s own cancer journey — a battle that has already taken an enormous toll on the family emotionally, physically and financially.

For this family, it feels as though the hardships have not stopped coming.

Despite everything, they continue to put their children first. They are doing everything possible to remain strong and provide the care, love and support their children need during such an incredibly difficult time.

The financial strain, however, is becoming overwhelming.

Funds raised will help cover Gwendoline-Ruth’s medical expenses, specialist appointments, surgery-related costs, travel expenses and everyday household bills. It will also help ease the burden of lost income as her parents take time away from work to be by her side during treatment and recovery.

No family should have to face the loss of a child, ongoing medical challenges and financial hardship all at once.
