My name is Gus Karlicki, and I am fundraising for my Eagle Scout project. The Catholic Charities Department for Persons with Disabilities is requesting a custom-made swing bench for their newest group home. The swinging bench will serve multiple different residents of the home and act as a place for them to relax, destress, and enjoy their group environment. The swing will be built at St. Philip's Apostle Church in Clifton, NJ. In addition to the swing, a metal wire-like fence will be donated and set up at the request of the Department of Persons with Disabilities (DPD) to "deer-proof" and protect the property. A permanent fence cannot be installed due to an existing easement. The swing will then be moved from St. Philip's Apostle Parish to the group home located in Clifton. Additionally, stain will be donated at the request of the DPD to provide a finish to their current wheelchair ramp.
