Support Guilford family after medical emergency

Donation protected
Our friends and the Guilford family of Emmy Bascom and Brian Johnston are facing a challenging time right now. Brian recently suffered a stroke and is out of work for the foreseeable future from his long-time job at Asplundh. He is recovering at home and they are taking his recovery day by day. Emmy has been a stay-at-home mom for the past 11 years and is planning to return to the workforce following this medical emergency. However, we know it will be sometime before her first paycheck. With the already challenging time of covid and this unexpected emergency, Emmy, Brian, and their four children (ages 4 to 11) could use our help right now as they figure out their path forward. Brian's co-workers have kindly helped them with firewood for winter, but Emmy and Brian could use some support for mortgage, car payment, and utility bills.  They were not inclined to ask for help, but we all know how challenging and stressful this emergency on top of the broader emergency must be, so they reluctantly agreed to accept  financial help to get through this crisis.  Your support will be greatly appreciated as they figure out their next steps over the coming weeks. Thank you so much!
