Hi friends and family!
I am participating in a Nursing Outreach trip to provide care to refugees in Costa Rica at the Corner of Love Relief Center. This trip will allow me to help displaced individuals who are part of one of the largest migration crisis in Latin America's history and desperately need assistance. My classmates and I will directly provide medical nursing care and treatments along with much needed supplies such as medications, vitamins, clothing, shoes, hygiene products, oral care supplies, baby items, school supplies, first aid products, and other self-care items. Your generous support in this mission would make a meaningful impact on the lives of these patients, many who don't have sufficient housing, access to food and/or water, or appropriate medical care.
I am equally grateful for your donation to allow me the opportunity to implement my student nursing knowledge in a real-world context, particularly in a setting where access to adequate healthcare is limited or challenging while also gaining invaluable exposure to diverse cultural experiences. This opportunity to provide compassionate and comprehensive care would not only enable me to develop clinical expertise but also allow me to contribute towards the improvement of health outcomes for individuals who have faced significant hardships and health disparities within their communities.
Thank you for considering a donation - medical supplies are costly and your monetary funds will be used towards the purchase of essential supplies to bring with us. Alternatively, if you would like to donate items, please Click Here for Needed Supplies to see what may be most beneficial for patients (and please reach out to me to coordinate pick-up).
Muchísimas gracias,
Gretchen
