Hi, my troubles began last May 13, 2025. My minivan caught on fire and totally burnt up. I'm a homeless vet living in my van and surviving on my SS alotment. When it went up, I lost everything for living the van life. My full name is Gregory Adams, I go by G. or Greg.

The fire was not the worst of it. While standing there watching my life burn away, the police were telling me, "We can't let it sit here overnight. The tow will cost you $500.00." I replied, "I have no money, I'm a homeless guy." He said, "No worry, we know this guy who will tow it for the salvage value of the vehicle." The chief, upon hearing my story, reached into his slush fund and provided a motel stay for the night saying, "Tomorrow you're on your own." I most greatful for that show of kindness.

If I'd only been in my right mind, I had tow insurance, but I was quite beside myself and not able to sort things out or even think straight.

About a month later, I received a bill for around $800.00 from the tow company. I thought this was an error, it would be soon corrected, so I disregarded the bill.

Around 6 months later, I received a bill from a collection agency for around $3882.52. As you can imagine, I cannot come up with that kind of money. I'm 85 going onto 86. Because of my physical condition I'm quite unemployable. As I said to a Constable when he asked, "Why don't you get a job?", (around 8 yrs ago), "Have you seen any ads for 77 year olds?" Ha!
