Hi everyone! I had to ask 12 people if this was appropriate and okay to do as I’ve never done anything like this before. But, life is unpredictable and some things are out of my control. I am stubborn and do not like to ask for help, but here I am.

My dad, Greg Jones was recently released from UK hospital on hospice care due to liver failure. This is where he wants to be and I plan to do everything in my power to keep him here. Dad was a hard worker, and went to work every single day prior to getting so sick, but was self employed and had no savings, retirement, 401k, life insurance, nothing like that. I am still working part time as he needs more care than a weekly nurse, but we cannot afford to pay anyone to stay, and he is on the waiting list for government programs to provide an aide. His expenses on top of mine have been quite the hit, and with travel, supplies, groceries, and everything needed to keep him and myself going, it’s gotten a bit overwhelming. Lots of people have reached out asking how they can help, and the support received from family and friends has been SO appreciated and has gotten me so much farther than I would’ve made it alone. There are a lot of expenses coming, and any help will be appreciated and go towards the betterment of dad’s care, comfort, and health.
