Hello,
My name is Ignacio Guzman.
Today I am creating this GoFundMe page, for my closest and dearest of friends, my brother and mentor,
Greg Johnston.
I can only hope in these next few paragraphs that follow, I may give you, if only a sliver;
a true sense, of exactly the kind of human being my friend is.
With enormous love in his heart;
wielding a kind of joy for each and every god fearing day: Greg’s natural
joy for life is HUGE.
This joy of his, it can be felt in any
and all of us who know and love him;
even those who don’t.
But Cancer! as so many of us know,
holds no prejudice against any living thing.
My friend turned out to be no exception. .
Greg has had two major abdominal surgeries: A year ago, this September.
During which, he became septic;
leading to more changes for him.
With faith in God, and, a lot of prayers,
remarkably, he began to recover.
So well, in fact:
Greg was scheduled to have his
colostomy bag removed this month.
NO WORDS could truly describe the feeling of joy to “THAT” news!
The fight was real for my friend Greg.
His initial encounter with cancer, I should tell you all, actually took place a
few years back. Greg was diagnosed
with esophageal cancer.
That was his first introduction to radiation.
An experience, only those who have gone through it, could ever imagine.
The ‘ struggle ‘ was real.
Which brings me to Greg’s current struggle.
Last month, on August 29th, Greg’s doctors presented him with the news that his cancer was back. As such, he is being jettisoned into another round of …yep. … radiation.
Many of you who read this, have either personally gone through cancer treatment, or, know someone who has.
It is a life changing moment.
My goal, for my dearest friend, Greg Johnston is to ask all of you….
to join, along with Greg’s friends, family, and loved ones . ..
IN HIS NEXT HEAVY WEIGHT KNOCK OUT FIGHT WITH CANCER.
FOR A MAN THAT HAS ….
GENUINELY
HUMANELY,
KINDLY, AND
COMPASSIONATELY
BEEN EVERYTHING YOU HOPE FOR IN
A “TRUE” FRIEND.
That’s exactly what Greg, has always been to me.
God bless Greg, all of you, and,
God bless America
