Support Grandview Heights' 100th Anniversary Block Party!
Donation protected
Hi Neighbors! Together we have the incredible honor of celebrating Grandview Heights' 100th Anniversary this Fall. As Manheim Township's first neighborhood, the Township has allowed us to have the biggest block party ever approved and we couldn't be more excited. We've chosen Saturday September 27th from noon until 8pm(ish) to close off Pleasure Road (between Crest and Hilltop) and McGrann Blvd (between Pleasure and Grandview Blvd) to traffic for a day full of music, food, and entertainment for all current and former neighbors to enjoy!
Of course there are costs associated with such an event, and we're hoping to raise funds to allow us to:
- rent a stage and sound crew so you can hear from some very talented local bands all day long (this is our biggest expense)
- set up a "Grandview Museum" inside of Grandview Church to share historical items from LancasterHistory and local residents
- host historical speakers in both Grandview Church and St. Matthews in the days leading up to the event
- rent a bounce house, dunk tank, and purchase supplies for our Kids Area
- bring BierHall's very own 'Grandview Lager' to the block-party (with the help of Annie Bailey's) and have a special kick-off event in August
- hire security for the event
- have portable restrooms
- send out notifications (mailers, etc.)
- create Grandview-specific merchandise and purchase decor for the occasion
While a Committee has been established to tackle the logistics above, any and all donations received will be tracked, reported and shared with that group - and any remaining funds will be donated (or split) across local non-profits.
We hope you can join us for this historic occasion, and we thank all of you that can help make this a reality!
