Bill (Owner and master plumber of Bills Tx plumbing) and Amy Baker have lived in kerrville for well over a decade— recently, they finally settled down to buy their house they built a life in, a life they shared with Staci, who they lost in 2023. Their house held memories, priceless items they can’t replace, and was their prized possession. In this devastating flood, they woke up to knee-deep water, much of it live. Luckily, they made it out relatively unharmed, most of their pets included. However, almost all furniture, much of their personal belongings, and major appliances are severely damaged if not completely destroyed. They plan to painstakingly clean and repair what they can, but their vehicles and walls are all very damaged from the water. We’re fundraising to help them save their family house, and keep their lives going while they try to find their footing. Between helping them get to work again, keeping food on the table, and preparing them to start from scratch— every single dollar, act of kindness, and helping hand makes a difference.
