For over 30 years, Good News Orphanage in central Uganda has stood as a beacon of hope for vulnerable children — children who were abandoned, orphaned, or left with nowhere else to go. Today, 50 girls and boys call this orphanage home. They study under flickering lights, sleep on thin mattresses, and live with uncertain shelter above their heads.

Currently, the orphanage is renting land and buildings. Without owning the land, the children’s home is always at risk. The rent is becoming unaffordable. The building needs repairs. On top of that, basic necessities like food, electricity, and school supplies are stretched to the breaking point.

If we don’t act now, the orphanage could lose its home — and the children may end up homeless, scattered, or worse.

Solution / Ask
We need $10,000 (USD) to buy the land and buildings outright. This will give the children a permanent, secure home — no more fear of eviction, no more rent increases.

Here’s the breakdown:
• $7,000 — for purchasing the property (land + buildings)
• $1,500 — for essential repairs (roof, windows, doors)
• $1,000 — for wiring, electricity, lighting
• $500 — legal / transfer / administrative costs

Why it matters

Owning the land will allow the orphanage to focus on what truly matters: the children — their education, health, growth — rather than constantly worrying about rent. It will give them stability, dignity, and hope for the future.

Credibility & Trust

The orphanage is run by David, who has devoted his life to caring for these children. Every dollar raised will be tracked publicly — I will provide full updates and photos, with receipts and proof of purchase. All funds will go directly to the orphanage’s land acquisition and improvements.

Call to Action & Urgency

We’re launching this campaign now because the landlord has given notice: the rent contract might not be renewed. We have 60 days to secure the property. Will you help us give these 50 children something many of us take for granted — safety, stability, and a place to call home?

➡ Donate even $5, $10, or $20 — every gift brings us closer.
➡ Share this link with your friends, family, communities, social media. You may not be in a position to give — but you can help by amplifying this cause.

Thank You & Updates
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing with these children. Please check back for updates — I’ll post photos, stories, and progress so you can see the real impact your gift is making. Together, we can make this dream a reality.
