Support Gluten Free College Students Facing Food Insecurity
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Kate Glick, and I’m a 17-year-old living with celiac disease. Through my volunteer work with Feeding Westchester—a nonprofit dedicated to fighting food insecurity in our county—and hands-on research on the struggles college students with celiac face, I’ve realized how deeply food insecurity can affect those with dietary restrictions. Many food-insecure college students also live with celiac disease or gluten intolerances, yet safe, gluten-free food is often inaccessible and unaffordable.
That’s why I’ve spent the past several months raising awareness and working to establish gluten-free shelves at local college food pantries; currently, Purchase College and Pace University. I’m calling on my community to support this initiative. Every student deserves access to safe, nourishing food—regardless of health or financial barriers. Your donation will help stock gluten-free shelves at Purchase College and Pace University for one year. Thank you so much.
