Dear Friends and Family,

This is Gloriah and David Rinkenberger. We hope this letter finds you well. We are thrilled to share with you an amazing opportunity to join a mission trip to Thessaloniki, Greece, this summer. The trip will take place from July 21 to 28, and we will be accompanied by two of our cousins. Jim and Merry Backstrom (our grandparents!), who now live in Thessaloniki, will host this trip, with hopes to engage and support the local Greek community at a refugee center.

As part of this trip, we hope to spend time building relationships with refugees and getting to know them. The refugees come from various ethnicities - Afghans, Iranians, Iraqis, Albanians, and others. At the refugee center, Lord willing, hope to face paint, play soccer and volleyball, and do other games.

We are deeply passionate about going and learning the stories and lives of new people who have had a challenging journey. We hope to have our eyes opened and our hearts changed.

However, we cannot do this alone. We would love your help to make it happen. The combined cost of the trip for the two of us is around $3,200 total, which covers our airfare, transportation, lodging, meals, as well as supplies for various activities at the camps. Any surplus will be donated to support the needs of the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Greece summer camp at Hope Christian Center in Thessaloniki.
