Gloria is my sister, and she’s always been the kind of person who puts others before herself. She’s a full-time work-from-home mom raising three wonderful kids, and now she’s taken on an even bigger challenge. Recently, Gloria’s niece, a newborn baby, was hospitalized and is now in a delicate stage of recovery. The baby’s mother is also recovering from a nearly fatal hemorrhage following the delivery, but must return to work to support the family, and with the father no longer present, the state has entrusted Gloria with the care of her niece during this critical time.

Gloria’s home is already full of love, but with three children of her own (Isabella 8, Cynthia 3, and Ximena 10 months), taking in a newborn with medical needs is a huge responsibility. She’s doing everything she can to make sure her niece is safe, cared for, and surrounded by family. But the added expenses such as medical bills, groceries, baby essentials like formula and diapers, childcare, and transportation are a real strain on her family’s resources. Gloria never asks for help for herself, but I want to do everything I can to support her as she supports others.
