Following the success of the 2022 inaugural 5 km Gladys Erude Memorial Run (GEM Run) that was held at Tigoi Primary School, the run has now become an annual flagship event.
This community event combines fun, fitness, medical checks, and raises funds to improve facilities at local schools in Vihiga and Nandi Counties in western Kenya.
GEM Run is supported by the Gladys Erude Organization (GEO), which has a mission to empower women and children living in underserved communities in Kenya by providing them with basic and essential life-sustaining services.
GEO was founded in 2022 and is a non-profit organization registered in the United States with an affiliation in Kenya.
GEO is raising funds for the GEM Run to help stage this year’s community event and carry out the needed targeted improvements at Tigoi Primary School.
We welcome your kind donations and support.
This year’s 2025 event will take place on 6th September at Tigoi Primary School.
You are invited to get involved as a participant, community partner, corporate partner, government partner, or through individual donations.
Over the past 3 years, we have raised a total of $21,165, all in small donations.
Last year we raised $4,645.
2022: $10,000
2023: $6,520
2024: $4,645
Our target this year (2025) is $8,000.
Thanks for your support!
