Gisbell is a mother of three young children facing an unexpected and devastating crisis.

On February 18, her partner, Arnaldo, was detained by ICE while attending what he believed was a routine immigration appointment in Silver Spring, Maryland. He was taken into custody without warning and is currently being held while awaiting transfer to a detention facility. In a single moment, the family lost its primary source of income and its sense of stability.

Gisbell is now caring for their children alone: a middle school student, a kindergartener, and a one-year-old baby who was born in the United States. She is doing everything she can to keep her children safe and emotionally supported, but the financial and emotional strain has been overwhelming.

The family urgently needs help covering basic necessities during this time, including rent, utilities, groceries, diapers for the baby, and legal fees as they work to secure legal representation and fight Arnaldo’s detention. Gisbell works limited hours, but her income is not enough to absorb these sudden and significant costs.

This fundraiser is intended to help cover approximately three months of essential expenses so that Gisbell can focus on caring for her children and navigating the legal process without the immediate fear of housing or food insecurity. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference, and sharing this fundraiser is also deeply appreciated.

Gisbell es una madre de tres hijos pequeños que enfrenta una crisis inesperada y devastadora.

El 18 de febrero, su pareja, Arnaldo, fue detenido por ICE mientras asistía a lo que él creía que era una cita rutinaria de inmigración en Silver Spring, Maryland.
