Support Giovanni's Fight Against Leukemia

This fundraiser is for Giovanni Guerra Diaz who was just recently diagnosed with Leukemia a short two weeks ago. Gio had been severely ill prior to his diagnosis, and a family doctor visit prompted that more specialized medical attention was needed. His mother, Sandra, was advised to immediately go to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus for further testing where it was confirmed that the presumed diagnosis was cancer. Doctors stated that treatment was to begin immediately. Upon being admitted, Giovanni began infusion treatments and within days, intense chemotherapy was introduced.

Due to the nature of the situation, Sandra had to take leave from her job to care for Gio and must remain with him for an undetermined time. As this was an unforeseen, life-altering situation for her and her family, the financial impact has been a severe loss to the family. Any amount that one can offer would be beneficial and greatly appreciated.

As a small community with deep faith and giving hearts, let us all keep Giovanni, Sandra, Gio’s three older sisters and two older brothers in our thoughts and prayers. A child and their family should never have to face this debilitating disease alone, and support in any form is needed. No one fights alone!
