Hello all!

My name is Gina Kremnitzer and I am reaching out to you all on behalf of my family who is in need of assistance.

It’s a bit crazy that I am even creating a GoFundMe page right now, but the struggle has been real. For those of you that know my dad and his situation, you know that life hasn’t been easy recently for him and especially for my mom, who is caring for him on a daily basis.

For those of you that do not know, my dad was diagnosed with MS back in February of 2021 and this disease has since progressed. Since 2021, he was forced to go on disability; he no longer works because this disease has been so debilitating. My dad drove a box truck for many years downtown, including Wacker Drive, and it was his identity lol. He was always so proud to talk about his routes and still does if you ask him. He does not drive anymore and needs assistance with most things that the average person normally wouldn’t need help with.

Our family house has a 2-step walk-up into the front entrance of the house, as you can see pictured. Recently, due to my dad’s illness, when needing to leave the house for his doctor appointments, etc., my parents need to call the non-emergency hotline for help to get my dad in and out of the house and into the car since he cannot use the stairs anymore. Because this has been such a frequent occurrence due to this situation, for everyone’s benefit and safety, it has been suggested to add a ramp to the front of the house for easier access in and out. If a concrete ramp were installed from the front of the porch to the sidewalk, my dad would be able to get in and out of the house by himself with his motorized wheelchair with less assistance than needed right now.

Any donations towards getting my dad a concrete ramp would help tremendously.
