Angela Brown (Gigi as her grands call her) was recently diagnosed with ductal carcinoma (breast cancer), She had a lumpectomy, and three lymph nodes removed on January 9th and was awaiting pathology reports from that. On January 17th she found out that not only will she have to have a second surgery because some tissue was missed, but it was also positive in one of the three lymph nodes and it has been re-diagnosed as metastatic ductal carcinoma. She is traveling to Shreveport for oncology and surgery appointments and with the new year having to pay out of pocket for treatment. no one should have to deal with financial stress alongside stress of a medical diagnosis.
