At Gibson Lupus ARC, our mission has always been clear: to empower, support, and uplift individuals living with lupus and other chronic illnesses. Now, we are expanding that mission to meet one of the most urgent needs in our community—safe, affordable housing that supports wellness.

We are proud to announce that Gibson Lupus ARC is transitioning into a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO)—a designation that allows us to build ARC Village Wellness Homes, a first-of-its-kind housing initiative in the Houston area designed specifically for individuals and families affected by chronic illness, disability, and financial hardship.

Why We’re Building ARC Village

Too often, people living with lupus and other chronic conditions are forced to choose between their health and stable housing. Medical bills, unemployment, and disability can make it nearly impossible to afford safe, consistent housing, let alone access supportive services.
