Support George Dougherty's Eagle Scout Project

My name is George Dougherty, and I am asking for your support for my Eagle Scout project. Scouting has been a major influence in my life, and as such, I have dedicated much of my youth to learn and utilize their beliefs and teachings. I am a loyal and proud member of Troop 338, located in Cordova, Tennessee, where I am striving to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout.

My Eagle Scout Project is working with the Daughters of the American Revolution ("DAR") to construct US flag drop boxes for the proper collection and destruction of US Flags as provided for in Title 4 of the United States Code. I am committed to having a positive and patriotic influence on my community through working with the Daughters of the American Revolution and being able to instill pride when collecting US Flags that are in such a condition that they are no longer a fitting emblem for display.

In order to bring this project to fruition, I am seeking financial contributions from generous individuals, businesses, and other sponsors who share the same commitment to providing honor and respect to the flag of the United States of America. It is my belief that by supporting my project, you will become a very crucial member in helping me achieve my fundraising goals. I hope you will feel as strongly as I do about how this project will impact my community. My fundraising goal is $800.

Your donation, no matter the amount, will be greatly appreciated and directly contribute to the successful completion of my Eagle Scout project. The funds will be utilized to cover expenses related to materials, including wood, hardware, supplies, paint, and other items. If project funding is extremely successful and provides for a surplus in funding, those excess funds will be utilized to further support programs and initiatives of the DAR, such as sponsoring meals for Veterans.
