On Wednesday night, March 5th Genevieve Mazza, a resident of Huntington Beach, California was brutally assaulted, beaten within an inch of her life and held at knife point by her four year long boyfriend William, a.k.a. “Billy” Maddox that she was living with.

Thank the Lord, a neighbor in an adjacent building, witnessed the entire brutal attack through her window and contacted 911 to report the incident which ended up saving her life. Billy fled the scene when he heard the ambulances and police sirens coming to her rescue.

Praise God for this. She was immediately transported to UCI trauma center in Orange where she may have permanent damage. She required excessive stitches, knifepoint punctures in her throat and forehead, bruising all over her body and the most serious was an orbital facial bone blowout, where she required extremely invasive implant and reconstructive surgery where she has lost feeling in half her face, blew out her eardrum beating her so badly. Had the police not responded when they did, he would have most likely killed her.

After undergoing a very serious surgery to repair her eye so she didn’t lose her permanently lose her vision, she still has, and most likely permanent double vision. On June 13th the specialty ophthalmology surgeon will determine whether or not she needs a second surgery to save her vision. There is still too much swelling to determine.

She is unable to drive, unable to work and has lost her means to provide for herself and her daughters. He also stole $8000 in cash from her before he left the scene.

He has been stalking her post assault via burner phones, DM’s and even got as creative as Pinterest. Sending her texts and messages with outrageous messages blaming her, “checking to see if she’s OK” and even telling her how much he loves her and misses her.

THIS morning, APPROXIMATELY 7 weeks later while still evading the police, Billy surfaced on the dating site bumble, actively attempting to date and find his next victim. He is a previously “three time” convicted felon that served a total of 14 years in prison for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is currently at large, if you see him, do not attempt to approach him or have a confrontation, call the Huntington Beach Police Department IMMEDIATELY and/or dial 911 for the nearest police agency

There is an emergency temporary restraining order that was placed in an attempt to protect her which is going in front of a judge to make permanent.

He is extremely violent and very dangerous. Again, DO NOT attempt to approach him. We need our community now. Please report him on any social media platforms, share this message and please keep your eyes out so that we can lock this guy up for the rest of his life. He WILL do this again.
