As most people who know me understand, I’m not someone who likes to ask for help — but this situation has become overwhelming. I recently lost my garage in a fire caused by a wood stove, along with two vehicles and hundreds of tools I spent a lifetime collecting. While I do have some insurance coverage on the garage and one car, my van of 25 years wasn’t insured, and I’ve since learned my policy has limits that won’t come close to covering everything.

Beyond the financial loss, I also lost things that meant a lot to me — my golf clubs, remote golf caddy, e-bike, and honestly, a piece of my heart that lived in that space.
