Gary is a veteran and a retired New York firefighter of 22 years who spent his life serving others. He was part of the rescue efforts on 9/11, helping save hundreds of lives, an experience that left him with lasting PTSD but never took away his compassion, integrity, or faith in humanity.

Last year, Gary's life changed forever when he was hit by a drunk driver, resulting in the amputation of part of his left leg. Since the accident, he has been unable to work and now relies on a wheelchair. Without steady income or support, Gary has been homeless for over a year.

Gary does not beg. He does not ask for anything. He quietly helps his local community, offers kindness, and greets people with the most genuine smile. Sadly, living on the streets has left him vulnerable; he has been robbed multiple times, even having his wheelchair taken. He deserves safety, stability, and peace after everything he has given.

What makes this especially urgent is that Gary often feels unworthy of help. He has shared that there are moments when he feels invisible and wonders if anyone would notice if he were gone. Nothing could be further from the truth. Gary matters. His life matters. His story matters. Let's get Gary off the streets and safe!❤️
