At Galveston Housing Plus (GH+), we are dedicated to helping individuals transition out of homelessness and rebuild their lives. As part of this mission, we believe in the power of movement, play, and wellness to create lasting change. That’s why we’re working to build a new recreation area that will support the physical and mental health of the people we serve as they rebuild their lives and reenter the workforce.
This recreation space is part of an Albert Schweitzer Fellowship project, led by PT students Sophia Hernandez and Josh Jordan, to promote health within the homeless and recently homeless population. It is just one part of the larger effort at GH+ to offer individuals the tools they need to succeed. We’re incredibly grateful to Hallmark Construction, a local contractor, for generously donating $5,000 worth of labor to bring this project to life. Now, we need your help to raise the remaining $4,000 to complete the project and make this space a reality.
Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to creating a space that will help individuals build strength, confidence, and hope for the future.
Thank you for your support. Together, we can make a lasting impact!
