Support Gail Baldino After Ken's Passing
Donation protected
My name is Beth and I am creating this GoFundMe for my aunt, Gail Baldino, as she struggles to navigate through financial hardships after her husband's unexpected passing on January 1st, 2025.
Their Love Story:
Ken and Gail met at a bar once known as Dynies right here in Trevor, WI on January 12th, 1992. My auntie says he courted her for a while before sweeping her off her feet; even asking like a gentleman if they could share their first kiss. In 1998, Ken was finally ready to ask for Gail's hand in marriage. He had originally planned to propose on New Year's Eve, but was so excited that he ended up asking around Christmas time. They were married October 5th, 2002. They enjoyed 33 years together before his untimely passing.
Why we've turned to creating a GoFundMe:
In 2006, Ken became permanently disabled. This caused multiple financial hardships, but they navigated this together and were able to make ends meet. 8 years ago, Ken had a stroke that affected his brain function significantly. It caused him to require speech and physical therapy, multiple doctor's appointments, and increasingly expensive medications. He was getting better and on the road to recovery before he was admitted to the hospital in December 2024 where they discovered a broken blood vessel in his brain stem which ultimately took his life.
This unfortunate series of events has left my aunt Gail with a financial burden that I hope we can help cover. My aunt has taken on a lot on her own and has never asked for anything in return. The funds donated will go towards medical and credit card debt incurred from multiple hospital visits, stays, and medications.
In our family, our aunts and uncles were more like extra parents to us. Growing up, we were together often. I've watched my aunt work hard to keep her household together regardless of the struggles that came their way. Our family loves her very much and just wants to give her the fresh start she is going to need to help her navigate this new life without the love of her life. Any amount helps.
Whether you've donated or shared, we just want to send you our sincerest gratitude.
