HELP NEEDED TO KEEP MY DAD AT HOME IN MY CARE

 

My name is David Baeza Jr. I am the Son of David Baeza Sr.

We  have established a GoFundMe will contribute to health, living, and any other expenses necessary to help keep my dad to survive what has just been an extremely difficult time in the past 20 years. I have been my dad’s certified caregiver. Although my dad gets Social security and Medical, it is a very much needed, but limited amount. He Also cannot ask for furtherfinancial help, or he runs the risk of losing his Medi-Cal and Social Security, which pays for his kidney dialysis and other medical expenses. I have done my best to make sure my dad gets quality care, but his health has unfortunately continued to decline.

   The past 20 years he has been battling congestive heart failure,diabetes, kidney dialysis, arthritis, severe back pain, diabetic neuropathy in his hands and feet, and problems with digestion and high blood pressure. It’s been difficult, but I’ve managed to keep him comfortable with quality home care to keep him as safe and happy as I can. 

The past years have been particularly difficult as we have lost many loved ones who gave my dad hope to carry on. His wife, my mother passed away along and his mom, my grandmother, were taken in the same 12-month period. Leaving us devastated.

I simply cannot see myself living happily if I were to send him to a nursing home. I know that there is nobody that will give him the love and care like I can. I made a promise that I would always take care of my dad and never abandon him during his sickness. My Dad has always been a good Man, friend and father and deserves to be with me, at home getting quality care and love. however I have finally reached a point where I require help to make this continue to happen.
