Family & Friends,

As many of you know, I recently separated. Leilani and I are starting a new chapter together. It’s been emotional and difficult as many people know, unfortunately. I worked hard to get where I am today, and this dynamic suddenly changed life as I know it. I never prepared or dreamed of being a single parent. But these things happen. I had been doing well and finally had built a solid savings. Unfortunately, you just can’t fully prepare for life-changing events. I was lucky enough to have had enough to move and secure Leilani and I a space to grow and rebuild. But sadly, with everything being so costly and unaffordable, I depleted most of my emergency savings and still have quite a ways to go before I can truly make a special and comfortable home for Leilani and me where we can grieve, readjust to this new life, and enjoy our own space together.

I have some of the basic items, but my apartment is mostly empty. I hope to create a space that fosters our growth and our bond, where Lani can play and enjoy herself, and I can rest and regroup. Many of you also know it is not in my nature to ask for help, and I pour from my cup even when there is nothing more to pour. It’s very difficult for me to make this fundraiser. I do my best to try and handle everything on my own, but my plate is full mentally and physically.

I am trying to be kind and gentle with myself as I grieve what feels like the end of a world I was so accustomed to. I never prepared for life to take such a turn, but I am doing what I feel is best for me and my child. I am allowing myself some grace in knowing that it’s okay to not be strong sometimes, and it’s okay to lean on the ones who matter most when I am so far from my family and my very good friends.

I am asking for help during this time not because I’m weak, but because I genuinely need as much love and support as possible. If you are willing and able to donate any amount, it would mean the world to me. As much as it pains me to ask for this help, I know that it will benefit Leilani and me and lift an immense burden. All donations will go to furnishing a safe space for Leilani and me to enjoy during the hardest time we’ve experienced. My uses for these funds will be for furniture, basic necessities, and anything that will help us move forward. Currently, I have my bedroom set up and a few toiletries from my previous home.

I am so grateful for everyone who has been in my corner supporting me and Leilani. I will continue to do what is best for her, and she is my main priority. If all you can do is share or like, that means more than you know.
