Support Future Innovators in Tulsa's Innovators of Tomorrow!

Art is a living, moving, life-changing thing. For me, as a child, art removed boundaries, gave me a voice, and eventually molded me into the digital media professional that I am today. It showed me that my imagination wasn't something to suppress, but something to embrace and develop. Now, at 41 years of age, I have decided to embrace the next generation of artists, our kids. In our community, there are children with amazing artistic skills, imaginations, ideas, and abilities. However, without guidance, appreciation for the real artist, and development, most of these kids will enter the workforce doing something else, burying their given talent, like I did.

"Innovators of Tomorrow" is a community-driven one-month project in the month of May in Tulsa, Oklahoma. My company, Tisdale Marketing Solutions LLC, has taken on the responsibility and honor of teaching the next generation of designers, artists, digital marketers, voice actors, photographers, videographers, and animators. We are going to provide this workshop to children between the ages of 10-17 for the next ten years. This allows for real-world application, self-reflection, and improvement from year to year, opening up an opportunity to be hired by TMSLLC in the future once of age.

This class is also based on developing a sense of togetherness, communication, teamwork, leadership, self-esteem, as well as building a healthy appreciation and view of adults and authority. Our curriculum involves more than art. We have celebrities, doctors, business owners, sports stars, and amazing staff and parents who are volunteering their time to essentially make this workshop amazing. Also, at the end of every class, the children will have 30-45 minutes of free time to paint, draw, digitally create, and animate on their own projects. As a final project, all of the children will add their own art style to one canvas, which will be showcased in a 2025 art venue in the downtown Tulsa Art district.

We also already have food vendors who are donating their time, services, and food to the kids for lunch every Saturday, with multiple choices to fit dietary needs. Water and snacks are also going to be provided by TMSLLC.

Our project bridges many issues in our community. Art is the rivet that holds it together. Children of all races, backgrounds, genders, areas, and learning levels can come together as a community and create stunning art, not only on the computer and canvas, but also between each other.

We are asking for $10,000 to purchase 20 efficient used laptops for the event. The software we are using requires at least 50GB of space for Photoshop alone, so the computers do not need to be new; however, they need to be "newer." We also need to purchase Adobe Suite to install on all of the laptops, wireless mice, flash drives for each student, SSD memory (hard drives) for the computers, as well as pay for the location of the workshop.

We have also decided that the top performer will get to keep their laptop.

Once we have the laptops, we will be able to replicate this workshop for years to come, while only having to purchase one laptop replacement every year. Since we own the marketing company that will advertise on social media, radio, and television, we are expensing that ourselves. We have also already been interviewed by Tulsa People for this workshop, and the article and photography will be released next month.
