Support Fund for Families Affected by A396 Crash 17-07
Donation protected
We are all heartbroken by the tragic school bus crash that occurred on the A396 on the 17th July. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the children, families, staff, and emergency responders affected by this devastating event.
As a father of two young children myself, I can only begin to imagine the pain and heartbreak that so many are experiencing right now. This tragedy has shaken the local community, and like many others, I (Bobbie) felt a strong desire to do what I could to help.
This community fund has been created to support the families directly affected by the crash. With the incident only happening yesterday, I am not yet certain exactly to whom or where the fund will go - the intention is to distribute it to those families most directly impacted, and to those who are most in need of help and support following this tragic event.
I understand this is a sensitive time, and while the specific use of the fund will be shaped by the needs of those involved my promise is to ensure it reaches the people who need it most.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and compassion.
Who is this fundraiser for and how will funds be used?
I (Bobbie) am a local resident and small business owner in West Somerset, many locally know me as the face of Extours. While I am not directly connected to the families affected by this tragic crash, I felt a deep responsibility to take action and support them in any way I could.
I am currently managing this fundraiser myself and all donations will be held in my account temporarily, with the sole purpose of being distributed to those most directly affected by this incident.
As we learn more about the families and their needs, I will work with appropriate contacts — whether through the school, local community groups, or family representatives — to ensure funds are passed on transparently and appropriately.
All donations will be protected and accounted for, and updates will be posted publicly on Facebook to show where the funds go.
Thank you for your continued support and compassion.
